The Santa Clarita Valley Resource
Center office contains books, periodicals and CDs that are available
for use by nonprofit, community organizations. The following
are some of the reference materials that are available.
Grantmaking
Directory of Operating Grants: Assists fund-raisers
seeking grants for general operating funds. Organized by state
and, within state, alphabetically by foundation name. Gives
name, address, general areas of interest.
FC Search: The Foundation Center's Database on CD-ROM
(Version 5.0): The CD-ROM contains data files on grant makers
and their recent grants. You can search for information using
the fast-speed search capabilities and high-powered features
only available via CD-ROM. Choose from among 12 search fields
to identify funding prospects.

The Foundation Directory: Basic information on foundations
with assets of $2,000,000 or more and / or total grants of
$200,000 or more. Organized by state and, within state, alphabetically
by foundation name. Gives name, address, fiscal information,

1,000 foundations in the United States. In-depth look at giving
patterns of grantees with dollar amount of grants.

Grants for Elementary and Secondary Education: Covers
grants in the U.S. and abroad to private and public schools
and school systems, and to agencies, associations, and other
educational institutions active in the field.
Guide to California Foundations: Foundations in CA
granting $40,000 or more per year. Gives name, address, fiscal
information, general areas of interest, sample grants.
National Guide to Funding for Children, Youth & Families:
Information about grantmaking foundations and direct
corporate giving programs that have shown a substantial interest
in children, youth or families. Arranged alphabetically by
state and, within states, by foundation name.
