NONPROFIT LEADERS COUNCIL

MEMBER BENEFITS

Through its programs and activities, the Nonprofit Leaders Council creates value for its members beyond what we can do as individual agencies. Working committees are formed as needed to develop and carry out the mission of the Council. Participation in these committees, in addition to attending general membership meetings, will enhance your experience, expand your organization’s outreach, and allow us to create a stronger, more visible and influential presence for nonprofits in the Santa Clarita Valley.

As a member of the Nonprofit Leaders Council (NLC), nonprofit executives can take advantage of the following benefits:
· Triad Lunches – quarterly lunch meetings with two peers to develop relationships and explore opportunities
· Networking at General Membership and committee meetings
· Mentoring opportunity through an informal peer program. NLC members contact the Resource Center, which matches the member with two experienced executives.
· Building Bridges Lunches held at the SCVRC with community leaders, such as City Council, City managers, government representatives, and school administrators. Attendance is limited.
· Media Opportunities, such as The Signal’s NEWSMAKERS Nonprofit Leader Series.

The General Membership of the Nonprofit Leaders Council meets on the second Monday of each month at 12 noon for lunch. Meetings are usually held at Coco's Restaurant, located on the Old Road and Pico Canyon.

Meetings are open to registered members only. To become a member or to determine eligibility to become a member, contact the SCV Resource Center at (661) 250-3720.
