National Hunger Awareness Community Food Drive - May 31 - June 2 -
In recognition of National Hunger Awareness Day, Hunger Defense Fund is organizing a community-wide food drive to bring awareness to those in need here in Santa Clarita and the services we offer to help them.
National Trails Day - June 7, 2008 - Every year, the first Saturday in June has been designated as National Trails Day. In Santa Clarita, the Community Hiking Club and the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority volunteers are teaming up to clean up and brush up the trail at Towsley Canyon.
Micheal Hoefflin Foundation Gold Classic - June 9, 2008 -
Come spend a day with the Michael Hoefflin Foundation at TPC Valencia! Enjoy a day on the course and help us to support families who have children witch cancer.
Piru Creek Clean Up - June 14, 2008 -
Wild Piru Creek, 20 minutes North of SCV is known for it's trout fishing, hiking, swimming and picnicing opportunities. Unfortunately, it has been trashed by people leaving behind bottles, cans and lots of trash. We are going to clean it up.

Adult Day Health Care – Santa Clarita Adult Day Health is dedicated to enhancing the value, dignity, and quality of life for the aged and functionally impaired adults to delay or prevent premature institutionalization. Volunteers can be involved in assisting with activities, serving food, leading groups, or assisting with special projects such as decorating, planning and prepping activities, making posters, birthday or get well cards
.Boys and Girls Club - Like working with kids? Come help students with homework or just have fun playing sports. Volunteer opportunities are available with the Boys and Girls Club in Newhall or Canyon Country.
Hunger Defense Fund – The specific purpose for which HDF is organized is to meet the social welfare needs of the poor, distressed or underprivileged by providing food, clothing, and personal hygiene supplies in the most effective way possible.
Painted Turtle -The Painted Turtle is a camp and family care center for children living with chronic and life-threatening medical conditions. The Painted Turtle seeks to reach beyond illness...to inspire children with serious medical conditions to become their greater selves.
Therapeutic Horseback Riding Volunteer - Carousel Ranch is dedicated to providing therapeutic and recreational programs for disabled and disadvantaged children through horses. Volunteers are needed to assist during therapy sessions. Duties include leading, side walking, grooming, ranch work, and occasional office work.
Youth Volunteer Council – The Volunteer Resource Center is looking for High School Students who want to make a difference in their community to serve as representatives on the Youth Volunteer Council.
